A renowned Mechanical Civil Engineer with an MBA from UTFSM and a distinguished track record of innovative approaches for the mining industry. He has specialized in the development and execution of high-impact projects in the mining equipment sector, consistently achieving financial success and operational excellence.

His approach has dramatically transformed client results, creating models that optimize productivity and generate millions of dollars in revenue. His strategic vision of market trends and deep technical knowledge allow him to anticipate industry changes and proactively adapt strategies. Felipe excels at building and leading high-performing teams for complex, large-scale projects, with a particular focus on exceeding client expectations.

The professor has been a tenured faculty member in Chemical Engineering at the University of La Frontera since 1973. She holds degrees in Chemistry, a Master’s, and a PhD in Food Science from universities in Brazil. Her research focuses on environmental biotechnology, particularly on the treatment of industrial wastewater, low-cost technologies for contaminant degradation, and water recovery from acid mine drainage. She has worked in environmental management and waste valorization, and has led significant projects as principal investigator of the CRHIAM Center. She has supervised more than 50 theses at various levels and has an extensive scientific output: 169 ISI/WoS articles, 47 technical papers, 16 books/chapters, over 350 contributions to scientific meetings, and 4 patents. In scientific management, she directs the CIBAMA-BIOREN center and has served on national committees such as FONDECYT and CNA, in addition to having been part of the Board of Directors of the University of La Frontera.
